
Overview
The Department of Endocrinology and Diabetology at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences started functioning in May 2018. The department has since provided evidence-based, comprehensive care for patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, and other complex endocrine diseases. The department is unique as it treats patients as a whole, considering all aspects of care, including preventing complications.

- The department of Endocrinology and Diabetology is well-equipped to investigate and treat all hormonal disorders in adult, pediatric, and adolescent patients. A well-qualified team of healthcare professionals, including Dieticians, Diabetic Educators, Medical Social Workers, support nursing staff, and an experienced Endocrinologist, comprise the department. The department has facilities for all the latest advances in diabetes mellitus management, such as Continuous Glucose Monitoring System, Ambulatory Glucose Monitoring, and Insulin Pumps.
Services
OP consultation services are available from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday - Saturday. We also provide evening OP services on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. The services include assessment and management of:
