It is a common test used to assess how well your lungs work by measuring how much air you inhale, how much you exhale and how quickly you exhale. Spirometry is used to diagnose Asthma, COPD and other conditions that affect breathing.

DLCO (Diffusion Capacity of Lungs for Carbon Monoxide) is measured using small volumes of Carbon Monoxide (CO), and measures the transfer of CO across the alveolar-capillary membrane. DLCO can assist in identification, assessment of wide range of disease processes affecting lung parenchyma, and pulmonary vascular bed.
