Overview
Cardiovascular surgery, also referred to as cardiac surgery or heart surgery, refers to any surgical procedure on the heart or the blood vessels, performed by cardiac surgeons. To treat complications of ischemic heart disease, or to correct congenital heart disease or to treat valvular heart disease, the cardio vascular surgery is recommended. Sometimes, it may also call for heart transplantation.
