PTWA Executive Committee

               Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Parent - Teacher Well wishers Association (PTWA) was established on 17^th March, 2007 in order to create and sustain a smooth and effective functioning of the college and in the maintenance of sound discipline and high standard.

Aims and Objectives:  

• To inspire and sustain in the parents, active interest in the affairs of the college.
• To foster and ensure cordial relation between the parents, staff and students for the smooth functioning of the college.
• To enlighten the parents through seminars, discussions etc. on matters regarding the upbringing, welfare and education of their wards.
• To create and sustain in members a sense of involvement in the smooth and effective functioning of the college and in the maintenance of sound discipline and high standards.
• To foster and ensure cordial relation between the parents, staff and management.
• To organize staff and student welfare schemes, college development projects and to share the monitory responsibility, for the project thereof.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Functions: 

Some of the major functions of PTWA are

• Conducting open houses after declaring the results of internal assessment examinations at the end of 1^st Sem. (1^st MBBS); 3^rd Sem. (2^nd MBBS); 6^th Sem. (3^rdMBBS, Part I) and 8^th Sem. ( 3^rd MBBS Part II) of the course. Conducting additional open houses whenever required.
• Supporting student welfare schemes in the Institution.
• Supporting teachers training programme.
• Supporting the Rev. Fr. Jose Sales memorial basket ball tournament.
• Development and planning of institutional discipline.
