Overview The Department of Anaesthesiology at Amala is a state-of-the-art department, dealing with perioperative care, postoperative set up and pain management, and also extending its services to all other clinical departments, thereby serving as its backbone.
Services of the department vary from helping out to get IV access in difficult cases, to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. There are ten fully-equipped Operation Theatres that function daily from 8.00 am, till the scheduled operations are over. Emergency Operations are undertaken round-the-clock under Anaesthesia coverage. All surgical departments are functioning in the Operation Theatre.
Video laryngoscopy: Video laryngoscopy allows for detailed examination of larynx in difficult intubation, obese patients, and those with limited mouth opening.
