Amala Hospital provide complete free treatment for 250 poor patients in the department of General Medicine, Paediatrics and Psychiatry, they get free consultation, tests and medicine in the concerned department.
The main goal of this program is to enhance the quality of life of children suffering from developmental delay, mainly cerebral palsy children.
Major objectives of the program are:-
Adhar fund is given to the poor patients who are undergoing chemotherapy/radiation therapy in the department of Oncology. This fund is provided by the medical social worker after the evaluation of psychosocial assessment.
Abhayam fund is given to the patients those who are admitted in the ward of Palliative Care. The patients get full free benefit under this scheme.
Department of medical social work gives concession for poor patients those who are admitted in wards based upon the psycho social assessment by the respective ward social worker.
Department of oncology and department of medical social work together organize cancer survivors meet twice in every year. This programme is a platform for the survivors to share their experience related to their health issues, which help them to overcome their anxiety and social stigma
Department of Medical Social Work organizes Susan Daniel Memorial Fund which is currently known as Service with Devotion to Mankind Fund (SDM) distribution program for economically poor oncology patients. This fund is provided by a volunteer organization of USA.
