Doctors, PG students & interns participated in the function. PG Course-2014 was also inaugurated by the VC. Orientation programme of PG 2014 was held at 3pm.
2014 July 3A CME programme on "Sleep Medicine" was organized by the PG Department of Pulmonary Medicine. Inauguration was done by Mr. MIR Mohammed Ali IAS (Sub Collector & Sub Divisional Magistrate, Thrissur).
2014 July 28Ramzan was celebrated in the hospital at a function held in the chapel at 8 AM. Ramzan gifts were distributed to Muslim in-patients. DySP Wahid (Internal Administration) was the chief guest of the day.
2014 August 11 Inauguration of the newly installed 128-CT Scan was done by Shri. Adoor Prakash, Hon'ble Minister for Revenue at 10 am in Amala Chapel. The faculty, staff and students attended the function.
2014 August 20As part of the Anti-Ragging campaign, a seminar was organised at 9:30 AM. Introductory remark was done by Rev. Fr. Francis Kurissery CMI, Director. The resource persons were: Ist Session - Mr. Prakash R T, Sub-Judge and Secretary, DLSA, Thrissur. IInd Session - Mr. G Mahesh, Judicial First Class Magistrate III, Thrissur. 2014 September 5 The students of 2012 MBBs batch organised Onam celebrations "Chakkaravarati 2014". The celebrations started with Onam vilambaram & Pulikali followed by Pookalam competition(Floral Rangoli) games and many other entertainment programmes. The festivities ended with a grand onam feast for staff & students.

2014 October 30 AIMSAAT (Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Alumni Association Trichur) Day was celebrated. Rev. Fr. Francis Kurissery CMI, Director, inaugurated the function. Dr. M.R.Chandran, Principal, and Dr.Bhagavathy Ammai, Vice Principal offered felicitation. AIMSAAT oration was delivered by Dr.Remya Pai (2003 batch). Variety entertainments were put up by the students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and the Alumni.

2014 November 3"Thousand years of a child" - a project sponsored by Catholic Health Association of India was inaugurated in Amala. The Amala hospital will subsidize the case of 100 mothers and children.
The function was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Tomy Thomas, Director General, CHAI, Hyderabad. Smt. T. Lakshmi Teacher, President, Adat Panchayath, presided over the function.
2014 November 13 A marble statue of Bl. Chavara Kuriakose Elias, Founder of CMI congregation was erected at the entrance of Medical College Hospital. It was blessed by Bishop Emeritus Mar Joseph Pastor Neelamkavil, Ex-bishop of Sagar diocese (MP) at 4.45 pm. Rev. Fr. Walter Thelappilly, Provincial, delivered the message.
2014 November 14 One - day workshop on "Behavioural and Developmental disorders in Children" was organized by Paediatrics Department at 8.45 am.

2014 November 23 Canonization of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, Founder of CMI Congregation took place in Vatican, Rome. The screening of the programme was displayed live on a mega screen in the auditorium.
2014 November 24A cultural programme to project the message of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara was put up by the staff and students of Amala at 6.45pm in the auditorium.

2015 February 10Social Work department of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences organized one day national conference 'ALMONERS - 2015' on the topic "Strategies and reflective practice on professional social work: Updates and essential for HealthCare" at Amala Conference Hall of Sacred Heart Block. 2015 March 24WORLD TB DAY - Amala Institute of Medical Science organized an awareness class and Quiz Competition in regard of world T.B day. The Programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Francis Kurissery CMI (Director, AIMS). The Theme presentation was done by Dr. Rennis Davis (HOD, Pulmonary Medicine). Awareness classes on childhood T.B and Adult T.B was taken by Dr. V.K Parvathy (HOD, Dept. of pediatrics) and Dr. Thomas Vadakkan (Asst. Professor, Pulmonary medicine) respectively. Quiz competition was held under the guidance of DR. E. V Krishnakumar (Asst. professor, Pulmonary Medicine).
2015 April 08Amala Chapel witnessed the Book release function of 'ORMA NILAVU' authored by Dr. P. S Remani (HOD, Obstetrics or Gyaecology, AIMS). The Book was released by Rev. Fr. Francis Kurissery (Director, AIMS) in the presence of Sri. Venmani Narayanan (Writer), Dr. Bhanumathy (Woman of the Year Award winner) and other dignitaries.
2015 April 13An educational session on Trauma Care was conducted at 2.30 PM. The inauguration and speech on Trauma care was done by Prof. Gerd Regel (HOD, Orhtopaedics and Traumatology, Rosenheim Hospital, Ludwig, Germany).
2015 May 15Amala Institute of Medical Sciences organized 'DOUBLE DRIBBLE 2015'. This is a two day (15th & 16th May 2015) basket ball tournament conducted to commemorate the memory of Rev. Fr. Jose Sales CMI (Joint Director - 2003 to 2009). The programme was inaugurated by Mr. K. K. Raveendran (DYSP, Kunnamkulam).

2015 June 12As part of 'World Blood Donors Day', Amala Institute of Medical Sciences conducted an awareness programme at 10.00 AM in Amala Chapel. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. C. K. Ananthakrishnan (Addl. District Magistrate, Thrissur). St. Antony's Forane Church, Ollur received award for best donor camp, from Mr. C. K. Ananthakrishnan. 2015 July 10Amala Institute of Medical Sciences hosts a multidimensional medical exhibition - 'INDRIYA 2015 -A medical extravaganza' in connection with the canonization of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, from July 10, 2015 to July 14, 2015. The programme was inagurated by Adv. Thomas Unniyadan (Chief Whip of Kerala Goverenment) at 9 AM. This unique spectacle is arranged for the first time in the history of Amala Medical College. Its aim is to disseminate useful information about human body and diseases.
2015 July 14'Indiriya-2015' Medical exihibition, Organizesd jointly by Amala Medical College and Nursing College came to an end. This unique spectacle is arranged for the first time in the history of Amala Medical College was a great success with over 50,000 viewers from various schools and public. The Valedictory Ceremony was held at 7.30 PM. The chief guest of the ceremony was Mr. Franco Simmon (Playback Singer). Dr. M. R. Chandran (Principal, Amala Medical College) and Dr. T. P. Antony (HOD, Gen. Medicine) spoke words of appreciation about this mega event. At the end, Rev. Fr.Francis Kurissery CMI, Director, AIMS, declared 'INDRIYA-2015' closed.
2015 July 26Amala Institute of Medical Sciences organised IAP disctrict level inaguration of ORS week and conducted CME on the topic - 'Diarrhoel Diseases'. The programme was inagurated by Rev. Fr. The Chief Guest Prof. Jayamini Seneviratne, Professor Dept. of Dermatology, Lady Ridgeway Hospital for children, Colombo, Srilanka distributed prizes for the winners. The Gold Medalist was Dr. Simin Mohammed Kutty, MD Dermatology student from Calicut Medical College.

2015 August 12Amala Institute of Medical Sciences conducted NNF Nursing Quiz in Neonatology for nurses under the guidance of paediatrics department. Dr. V. K. 2015 September 23Dr. Thimothy V.O, working as Associate Professor in the department of General Surgery passed away on September 21, 2015. A condolence meeting was held at 8 AM in the Amala Chapel. Condolence messages are given by Rev. Fr. Francis Kurissery CMI, (Director), Dr. M. R Chandran (Principal), Dr. Krishnakumar Marar (HOD, General Surgery) and PG Representative. Condolence motion delivered by Rev. Fr. Juluis Arakal (Joint Director). His body was kept in the Amala Chapel on 23.9.2015 (8am to 9 am) to pay last respect of Amala family. His funeral was held at Basalica Church of Mother of Dolours at 3 PM.
2015 October 10As part of World Mental health day and second anniversary celebration of child guidence clinic, Dept. of Psychiatry conducted a work shop - "PROMOTING SCHOOL MENTAL HEALTH" intended to promote mental well being of school students in the Conference Hall of Amala Hospital (S.H.Block).
